Can women have it all?

I am not a mother yet, but I hope I will be one in the future. As more and more of my friends have kids I can’t help but wonder, what kind of mother will I be?

There’s a video that has been going around where Indra K. Nooyi, CEO of PepsiCo, was interviewed.

Basically the gist of it is that “Woman Cannot Have it All”. She’s been describing her guilt of being a working mom and how she had to balance her career and family life. In this brief interview, the CEO of PepsiCo Indra K. Nooyi revealed reasons why she believes that successful career women can’t really have it all, or that they really do not have it all.

You can read excerpts from the interview below. This was a bold statement because for ages now, people have been trying to convince themselves, yes women can have it all.

I’ve always admired Indra K. Nooyi and she’s one of my role models. She’s a great role model for all minority women and I especially look up to her because she’s an Indian! She is the epitome of hard work can equal success! Hearing her say, women cannot have it all was very disappointing.

In the end, I think no matter if you are a man or woman, you cannot have it all unless you have the support of your family, friends, or help from somebody you hire.
